Why a Lighthouse?

Why is there a lighthouse in the middle of a landlocked town? It is actually just an architectural detail of a storage business.

    Funny! I also think it's strange that we recently changed our license plates from a magnolia to a lighthouse. I thought the magnolia was prettier and represted Mississippi better. Ah well...
