Civil War reenactors are getting ready for drills at Carnton Plantation.

Carnton Plantation

The Carnton Plantation is a historic home in Franklin. It was used during the Civil War as a hospital. The largest field hospital in the area. The Battle of Franklin was fought on November 30, 1864 and only lasted about five hours. Over 9,000 soldiers were wounded or killed during the battle.
