We froze Charlie Brown
This is a fun event for the kids. This walk through ice display is at Opryland. This year's theme is Charlie Brown. There are lots of scene depicting a Charlie Brown Christmas. It is freezing, but the kids especially love the slides that are there every year. The annual nativity scene is huge and beautiful.

Nissan Plant Tour
About 45 minutes from town in Smyrna is the Nissan plant. It is a fun idea (for kids too - 5 yrs min) to take the tour of the plant. The plant is huge, so you ride in a long tram and see the process from beginning to end. The tour is free and runs during the week.

Hi-way 50 drive in
Okay, I know not a great picture, but a fun thing to do on a weekend. The Hi-way 50 Drive In has been open since 1946 and shows two back-to-back movies on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night. It is about 45 minutes from Franklin. You can even bring your own food and pets, and its cheaper than one movie at the regular theater.

Riding Horses

Day Ride to Lynchburg
Lynchburg TN is a great day ride for motorcyclists. It is the town where the Jack Daniels Distillery is located. This is a picture of the town square. My husband is the rider, not me.

Motorcycles at Leiper's Fork
When the weather warms up the motorcycles come out. This is a favorite stop. Leiper's Fork is a small community outside Franklin. The drive from Franklin to Leiper's Fork is curvy and scenic. These motorcycles are parked at Pucketts Grocery.
