Friday Night Out - McDougal's

McDougal's is a chicken fingers restaurant in Cool Springs. They started in Nashville and are starting to spread. The chicken fingers and fries are great, and there is all kinds of sauces for dipping. My boys love the free ice cream.

Gigi's Cup Cakes

The cupcake craze has hit. They are everywhere. Gigi's Cup Cakes started in Nashville and has opened a location here in Franklin. It's a great place for dessert or an alternative for the birthday cake. They taste very good - lots of frosting and all kinds of flavors.

No Economic Downturn here

McEwen Road was finished through to Mallory Lane when Nissan Headquarters moved here. So that means, more corners to put things. There is three lots under construction right now. They post signs like these and make us wonder and wait to see what is coming.

Dave Ramsey

Dave Ramsey and his company are based in Cool Springs. He is a great no nonsense financial advisor. He helps people get out of debt in various ways through his books, classes, and radio show.

Carnival Time

It's carnival time at the mall. Once a year, the carnival sets up and everyone knows because you can see the ferris wheel from the road.

a loft hotel

This is the new hotel in Cool Springs. It is very modern and chic. They even have their own scent in the lobby. I must go in soon for a drink at the bar and sit in the patio outside.

Nissan HQ

Nissan North America moved their headquarters from California to Franklin in 2008.

Prom Night

It looks like Prom Night in Franklin. I caught these couples going into PF Changs for dinner. I have heard that prom now costs between $600 to $800 total. This includes the tux, dinner, cost of prom, flowers, and a limo. I guess a limo for your group has become standard.
