Too Late

This store is gone by now. They had the most unusual decor I have ever seen. I'm sure that there were houses that could integrate the unique items, but obviously not enough. It's too bad that a different type of place can't make it.

Now that Thanksgiving is over, we can concentrate on Christmas and that means shopping. The Factory is a great place for unique gifts.

Harmony Home

Harmony Home is a shop on 2nd Avenue downtown with a collection of unique home furnishings and gifts. They have a wide selection of custom upholstery furniture and will even come out and decorate your home.

Sweet and Sassy

So, I walked into Sweet and Sassy to get the silly bandz that my son was DYING for. The boys would not get out of the car. I didn't understand until I walked in the door and my jaw dropped. I have never been in this store since I have boys, but little did I realize what a wonderland for girls this was. It was packed with girly stuff. These party girls were ready for their runway debut. Yes, runway - a lighted disco type runway for little girls to strut. Their hair was curled, twisted, and sprayed. Maybe their was makeup. The salesgirl actually tried to tell me they have boy services. Yeah, right, sorry my boys aren't coming.

Wee Little Door

Franklin Antique Mall

Entrance to Franklin Antique Mall. Love the church benches on the porch. If only I had room in my overcrowded house.

PD's

This building may not look like much, but it is the old raildroad depot for Franklin. First used in 1855 it was the second railroad completed in Tennessee. But today, it is home to PD's which is a great place to find unique accessories, furniture, and linens.

Landmark Booksellers

Landmark Booksellers is a bookstore downtown. They have new and old books, documents, magazines, and art. The balcony looks like a great place to cozy up with a book. When I went on the ghost tour of downtown Franklin, this was one of our stops because the second floor is haunted.

Main Street Toy Company

Rooster Tails

Rooster Tails is an antique store on Columbia Avenue. They also make furniture from old barn wood. The metal stars are made by Amish people that live nearby.

Antique Mall

This is the Country Charm Antique Mall on Lewisburg Pike. There is always furniture and other items sitting outside just waiting to be noticed.

The Franklin Marketplace

A great store for unique gifts and accessories. 3rd Avenue North in downtown Franklin.

Henpeck Market

This is the Henpeck Market. It is a corner market at Lewisburg Pike and Henpeck Lane. It was bought and renovated a few years ago by an ex-circus family. They lived upstairs until recently. It is a quaint family market with great food, unique gift items, groceries, and even now the post office. It feels like stepping back in time when you walk in the door.
