Southern Food

Here is what I ate at the Loveless Cafe. Fried chicken, cream corn, and cumcumbers and onions. This is typical southern food. Meat and 2 is what its sometimes called - meat and two vegetables. I don't get this type of food very often but when I do it brings back memories of my mamaw's (grandmother's) cooking.

Loveless Cafe

This restaurant is in Nashville but is a tourist destination for everyone. It is at the end of the Natchez Trace on Hwy 100. It has been here since 1951 and serves the best southern food. The motel rooms are now shops and art galleries.

Henpeck Market

This is the Henpeck Market. It is a corner market at Lewisburg Pike and Henpeck Lane. It was bought and renovated a few years ago by an ex-circus family. They lived upstairs until recently. It is a quaint family market with great food, unique gift items, groceries, and even now the post office. It feels like stepping back in time when you walk in the door.
